This morning was a pleasure to hang & fish with my old friend @ryan_kingaling & meet his son @sturgill_king. Sturgill is a true inspiration to me & anyone that knows him as he continues to battle a rare disease called juvenile dermotomytosis. His fearless determination to step up truly shows in his approach to skateboarding, football, & now fishing. The future is bright for Sturgill & I can’t help but be a fan of this kid!

After posting some shallow water redfish on my story the other day, @markthetoolman hit me up saying he wanted to get in on it. Today we did just that & he was rewarded with multiple reds & flounder on artificial.

Fly line management plays a crucial role in the success of saltwater fly fishing. I’ve run @carbonmarineoutdoors line spikes over the years & have had to modify them as I go. Before this season, I reached out to @castawaycustomssac with an idea to build toe rail @seadek strips to outline my spike layout. At this point, I could not be happier with how they turned out & the functionality on each cast. When there are only so many shots, it’s best to make them count!

Had the pleasure of hosting @wadehoag & @rivernecks at the lodge this week. These guys were new to the tarpon fly game & put on a clinic with multiple feeds, jumps, & leadered fish after endless Busch’s. Love when it all comes together & now they’re in.
